I’ve never been comfortable with anything below 23mm but I’ve decided to give it a try, we’ll see how it works out. So far I’m just delighted I can slip it in my jeans pocket and walk out the door. 😎
I find 23 is often too tight and 16 is too wide to shoot casually. 16 takes a lot of thought to avoid distorting people. I like the idea of only having 18 and 35.
Persevere -it’s very versatile. Loud elks and Winogrand used 28mm almost exclusively. Lots of inspiration there
The ricoh has a 23mm crop mode, I’ll probably try it a few times. But I’m enjoying the challenge of seeing things with a different perspective, so far. 🙂
I have no idea – you always shoot 23mm, right?

Not really, I shoot mostly 23mm but also a lot of 35mm – this is neither! 😉

So it’s one of the 18mm models? X70?

It’s a wonderful focal length. I use it a lot on my 35mm camera. I’m thinking of selling my Fuji 16mm and 23mm to get the 18mm.

Like you, I prefer 23 and 35mm. But it’s great to have a camera on you all the time.

I was intrigued by this camera and a while ago I gave it a try and I liked it very much… but now I’m drooling for a Sigma DP2 Quattro

I’m really loving the form factor of the GR II, it’s actually smaller than my phone! 😮 Never heard of that Sigma one, is it recent?
