By now I think it’s pretty obvious that I like to observe people on the streets in their daily routines, but I particularly love doing that at the beach. Everyone is totally relaxed and there’s an overall chill vibe that is harder to find in other scenarios, not to mention it’s also a fertile ground for interesting juxtapositions.

Yesterday was the 51st anniversary of the “carnation revolution” in Portugal, which brought down almost 5 decades of dictatorship. In these dark times we live in, it’s never been more urgent for decent people to show up and stand up for freedom.

After what seemed like the longest winter ever here in Lisbon, the sun finally shone for a few days so we rushed to the seaside to soak up a bit of vitamin D.

After a succession of health issues that kept me at home for most of the past month, I finally went out with a camera to the Chinese New Year celebrations in Lisbon!
Although I didn’t get any particularly memorable images, it still felt good to be back out in the world looking for those precious fleeting moments that are able to tell a story within a single frame.
